The Arizona Diamondbacks announced that RideNow Powersports has agreed to a three-year contract through the 2011 season to sponsor the popular swimming pool area in right-center field at Chase Field, according to D-backs’ Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Marketing Cullen Maxey.

“We are thrilled to have RideNow Powersports join the D-backs as corporate partners,” Maxey said. “RideNow Powersports motorcycles, ATVs and watercraft are synonymous with good times and what is more fun than watching a D-backs game from the RideNow Powersports Pool at Chase Field?”

“We are extremely excited about becoming a partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks,” said Gene Ponti, Director of Marketing of RideNow Powersports. “D-backs fans are great people that like to have good quality family fun, that’s why it made all the sense in the world to be part of this organization. Now put the best baseball fans in the world, in the greatest ballpark with a swimming pool and you have makings of a RideNow Powersports event.”

Chase Field has been the only professional sports stadium to feature a swimming pool since the ballpark originally opened when the D-backs began play in 1998. The swimming pool, which is 415 feet from home plate, was ranked as the fifth-best place to watch a baseball game by the USA TODAY in 2008. The pool area includes a pool and spa that sit four feet above ground and features a bar area, patio seating, a plasma TV and an on-duty lifeguard.
